Last Wednesday, Justice Anthony Kennedy spoke at the Economics Club of New York. Justice Kennedy's speech and responses to questioning offered a unique insight into the most crucial member of the Court. He discussed California's three-strike laws--the federal version of which is being challenged before the Court tomorrow--punitive damage awards, criminal sentencing, and several other controversial topics.
